Short version: the calculators run entirely in your browser. The numbers you type never leave your device and are never sent to us or to anyone else.
What we collect
Calculator inputs: none. Every calculator on this site is client-side JavaScript. Your balances, interest rates and payment amounts are processed in your browser and discarded when you close or reload the page. They are not transmitted, not logged, and not stored on any server. There is no account to create and no email address to give us.
Server logs. Our web host records standard request information such as IP address, browser user agent, requested page and timestamp. This is generated automatically by the hosting infrastructure and is used for security and troubleshooting.
Cookies: none set by us. This site sets no cookies of its own and uses no localStorage or sessionStorage.
Analytics and advertising
At the time of this update, this site runs no analytics scripts, no advertising, and no affiliate links. Nothing on this page describes a service we have not actually deployed.
If that changes, this policy will be updated before the change goes live, and the update date at the top of this page will change with it. If advertising or affiliate links are ever added, they will be disclosed clearly and conspicuously in line with the FTC's Endorsement Guides.
Third parties
We do not sell, rent or share personal information, because we do not collect any beyond the server logs described above. Pages on this site link out to external sources such as federalreserve.gov and consumerfinance.gov so you can verify our figures. Those sites have their own privacy policies and we do not control them.
Your rights
If you are in the EU or EEA, the GDPR gives you rights to access, correct, delete and port your personal data, to object to processing, and to complain to your national supervisory authority. Because the calculators collect nothing and we set no cookies, there is in practice very little data to exercise those rights against. If you believe we hold data about you, contact us and we will respond.
If you are a California resident, the CCPA and CPRA give you rights to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
Any change will be reflected in the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be described in plain language rather than buried.
